About Me
My name is Luigi but you can call me Gigi and I am a perfume creator. This passion has accompanied me since I was a boy, but for a long time, I kept it hidden, like a secret too painful to face.
When I was young, I had a traumatic experience that deeply marked me. I was a victim of violence, and my grandmother, who passed on to me her love for perfumes, told me not to talk about it with anyone. She meant to protect me, but those words locked me in an emotional prison, making me set aside what I loved most for years: creating fragrances.
My journey to acceptance was challenging, marked by the inability to forgive myself and others. In the end, it was my passion for perfume, the art of turning memories into essences, that helped me discover who I truly am and gave me the strength to create unique fragrances that linger in memory.
Inspiration
The bond with my grandmother has always been special. She was the one who made me smell the flowers, the spices, the woods. She told me how every scent was a journey through memories and emotions. Yet, even this bond was put to the test when my grandmother, struck by a fulminant brain tumor, began to lose everything: her memories, her words, and even the people she loved. But despite everything, two things remained imprinted in her mind until the end: her red dress and the perfume she loved to wear. It was as if those two things were the anchor that tied her to her identity, to who she had been.
My Story
After she passed away, I finally understood. My grandmother had not asked me to keep quiet out of shame, but for protection. And so, I found the strength to forgive her and to forgive myself.
Today, my work is dedicated to memory, to memories, to who we really are. I create fragrances that not only smell, but tell stories. Stories of who we were, who we are, and who we will be. Each perfume is a journey into the past and a promise for the future.
